Internships are important for college students because they provide a unique opportunity to gain real- world experience, develop job-specific skills, and cultivate coordinated work skills while in school. For many students, an internship is the first opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to a real-life situation in the workplace.
This experience not only enhances their learning but also builds confidence in their chosen field. Internships also help students make informed decisions about their careers by providing information about industry trends, workplace practices, and the skills needed to succeed in specific roles. Having internship experience can be a significant advantage in a competitive market. Internships also create networking opportunities that allow students to connect with mentors, peers, and industry professionals who can provide guidance and open doors to future career opportunities. In some cases, internships can lead to full-time employment and give students the opportunity to work immediately after graduation.
Exposure to business practices, the ability to earn credits, and the ability to explore different career options further highlight why internships are an important step for new college students looking to jump-start their careers.
Here’s a detailed process to help you find the best summer internships while attending university:
Determine your Career Goals
Before you begin your internship search, take some time to define your career goals. What profession do you want to master, and what skills do you want to improve? This perspective will provide you with better opportunities based on your interests and career goals.
Create an Internship Schedule
Internships are available during summer breaks and throughout the school year. Plan your work schedule to allow ample time for your internship. Create a schedule that allows you to dedicate two to three days a week to your internship without interrupting your studies.
Prepare your Supporting Documents
Writing a good resume and cover letter is very important. Showcase your education, skills, and experience. If your field requires certification, create one to showcase your work. Also, make sure your online presence is professional. Update your LinkedIn profile and remove irrelevant content from your personal social networks.
Explore your Connections
Finding an internship can be done in a variety of ways. Start by looking for internships online and using your connections. Talk to teachers, colleagues, friends, and family about career opportunities. If you have a specific company in mind, contact them directly to inquire about an internship.
Here are the different types of internships to consider:
Paid Internships: These internships provide compensation but can be more competitive. They often require a full-time commitment.
Unpaid Internships: These internships offer an unpaid stipend but are more competitive. They can be more flexible, but they are still useful.
Virtual Internships: These internships offer maximum flexibility by allowing you to work remotely. However, they are less effective at building personal relationships.
Part-time Internships: These internships are ideal for evaluating schools or other positions. They tend to have more flexible work schedules.
Full-time Internships: These internships provide great experience but require more time. This can be converted to full-time employment with the organization based on your performance during the internship period.
Seek Help from College Career Services
Most universities have a career services department to help students with their careers. They generally offer services like resume reviews, mock interviews, and internships. Career services can also connect you with potential employers.
Attend a Career Fair
Career fairs are a great way to meet employers and learn about internships. They give you the opportunity to think for yourself and learn about different companies. Some employers invite current employees to share their experiences.
Identify your Career Choice
Once you have identified a potential career opportunity, evaluate it carefully. Consider factors such as job type, education, and career prospects. Research the company and make sure its values match yours. This will help you identify internship opportunities in advance.
Prepare for The Interview
Most internships require an interview. Get your feet wet, research the company, learn about the position, and practice interview questions. Preparation will make a big difference in how you act during the interview.
Post-Interview
After the interview, send a thank-you note expressing your gratitude for the opportunity. This behavior shows professionalism and makes a good impression.

Harshit Jain MD, Founder & Global CEO, Doceree
Like other industries, the Indian healthcare sector is rapidly embracing technology, marking a new era of innovation. From personalized medicine and triggered messaging to virtual consultations and smart devices, technology is revolutionizing healthcare access, bridging affordability and information gaps, and promoting health equity, unprecedently.
Data-driven insights too are becoming increasingly crucial for real-time patient care and drug development. A genuine applaud would go to the Govt. of India for introducing Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA), that is seeking to enhance healthcare access, relieve financial burdens on vulnerable groups, and improve overall healthcare quality—all with technology and data-driven methods.
“Evidently, the road for innovation and improvement in healthcare goes a long way with such progressive nationwide initiatives. Looking ahead, with technology soon becoming integral to reducing healthcare costs and aiding healthcare professionals in informed decision-making, innovations like Artificial Intelligence (AI) are poised to drive sustainable growth and transformative solutions in the industry,” said Jain.
Here are the insights shared by Mr. Sanjay Kalirona on different aspects of technological advancements.
Impact of Automation on the Workforce
Automation has had a significant impact on the workforce, especially in industries that rely on repetitive tasks. Advanced machines and software systems can perform these tasks with greater efficiency, replacing human workers. Although it reduces costs and boosts productivity, it can cause job displacement and economic inequality.
However, automation also creates opportunities for workers to upskill and transition to higher-skilled roles that require creativity and problem-solving. It must be ensured that all workers have the necessary skills and resources to thrive in this changing landscape.
Addressing the Negative Consequences of Technological Advancement
Technology advancements have provided countless benefits, but they have also had negative implications such as privacy concerns, environmental damage, and employment displacement. To mitigate these, people must be educated on the risks and promote responsible usage. Governments should enforce regulations on safety standards and transparency. Ethical implications and balance gains with individual rights must be considered.
Companies must design products sustainably, with safety in mind and ethical decision-making throughout. Lastly, collaboration between stakeholders is key to ensuring technology benefits everyone.
Staying Up-to-Date on the Latest Advancements in Technology
“Technological advances help businesses and individuals remain competitive in their respective domains. By utilizing cutting-edge tactics, strategies, and technologies, companies can dramatically enhance their consumer’s product user experiences. A great example is our feature-rich yet affordable smartwatches that feature a comprehensive health suite as well as the latest wearable tech, such as an AMOLED display and a heart rate sensor, allowing a more comprehensive smartwatch experience,” says Mr. Sanjay.
Keeping up with technology also fosters innovation by providing access to new ideas, concepts, and approaches that can inspire new and improved ways of doing things. It can increase productivity and efficiency, saving time and resources. The overall impacts can be monumental.
Identifying and Recruiting Skilled Individuals With Expertise in Advanced Technologies
Companies can use online networks and job boards such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor to acquire qualified individuals with knowledge of cutting-edge technologies. After precisely identifying skill sets for open roles, organizations can also hold events such as job fairs or hackathons.
Offering competitive pay packages and collaborating with universities and educational institutions can also aid in attracting and retaining top personnel.
Mr. Ankur Singh, CEO and Founder, Witzeal Technologies

Here are the quotes shared by Mr. Ankur Singh based on the themes of the article:
Impact of Automation on the Workforce
“Technology has been acting as an enabler for so many years and it continues to do so. The role of technology is now enhanced, and every corporate is looking forward to bringing in efficiency and cost-benefit. In a way, yes, it has impacted some segments of the workforce but definitely, the introduction of automation has not impacted a large amount of the workforce. The impacted segment has at many times reskilled or is being utilized in other areas to further negate the adverse impact, if any. However, the benefits of using automation in many areas have reflected positive results over a period of time.”
Addressing the Negative Consequences of Technological Advancement
“First and foremost is identifying and scoping out the exact needs and the problem at hand for which we are looking for a solution. If the solution lies in technology, then to what extent it would be required and how it has to be implemented is the primary aspect of controlling the negative consequences.
Secondly, it is important to understand the benefits that may accrue to the corporate in the medium and long term and whether it would impact any segment of the workforce. It is important that the workforce is aligned/reskilled to ensure the hat impact is not sudden and it does not create confusion or incorrect image building of the corporate.
Lastly, one should ensure that technology is only to aid in efficiency, economies of scale etc but it cannot replace human talent and therefore, too much embracement of technology without appropriate thought processes would be over-killing the problem required.”
Staying Up-to-Date on the Latest Advancements in Technology
“In today’s fast-paced world, technology is advancing at a breakneck pace, and it’s more critical than ever for both employees and employers to stay current with the latest advancements. For employees, staying relevant and updated with the latest technology brings in effectiveness, and efficiency and at the same time improve their skillset, and advance in their careers. Employers who provide their employees with training and resources to keep up with technological advancements can create a more engaged and loyal workforce. For employers, staying up to date with technology can help them streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve the customer experience. In today’s digital age, it is important to keep pace with technological progress to seize opportunities and march ahead to make the company the best place to work.”
Identifying and Recruiting Skilled Individuals With Expertise in Advanced Technologies
“Hiring in technology has definitely been challenging since the covid times. Getting the right skill is time and cost-consuming. We would look for logical understanding, dedication, or commitment aspects in the candidate. We believe that if there are attributable skills that in the long run would make the candidate a high performer are these skill sets. The usage of technology is the second phase in identifying if the candidate is good at the particular technology. For these purposes, conducting some basic tests, interviews, and in particular reasoning abilities will enable decision-making,” says Mr. Ankur.

Here are the insights shared by Mr. Pawan Kumar on National Technology Day.
Impact of Automation on the Workforce
The rise of automation will have significant implications for the future of the workforce. While it brings accuracy, precision, and efficiency to the processes, it will also replace people opposed to automation with people trained for it. Automation is here to stay and be more advanced with time. Investing in reskilling and upskilling the workforce for the new jobs created by automation is essential.
Addressing the Negative Consequences of Technological Advancement
Technological advancement has brought numerous benefits to society. However, as everything has a flip side, it has also given rise to negative consequences such as job displacement, privacy concerns, and environmental impact.
To start with, governments can regulate the development and use of technology to ensure that it does not cause harm to society. It can include laws requiring companies to adhere to specific safety standards, protect user privacy, or limit the use of certain technologies with negative consequences.
Educating the public about the potential negative consequences of technological advancement and how they can protect themselves is also essential. It can include educating people about data privacy and security, responsible use of social media, and the environmental impact of technology.
Staying Up-to-Date on the Latest Advancements in Technology
To stay up-to-date on the latest technological advancements, individuals and organizations should continue to invest in research and development to stay ahead of the curve. Staying informed about the industry and global tech trends can help anticipate new technologies and adapt accordingly.

Identifying and Recruiting Skilled Individuals With Expertise in Advanced Technologies
To identify and recruit skilled individuals with expertise in cutting-edge technologies, organizations should clearly define skill sets for all jobs and work towards developing a strong employer brand.
It is helpful to leverage professional networks such as LinkedIn, industry associations, and conferences to identify skilled individuals in cutting-edge technologies. These networks provide access to a talent pool with specific skills and expertise.
Most importantly, companies should offer competitive compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities to attract and retain skilled talent.

Here are the insights shared by Vikram Ahuja regarding the impact of automation on the workforce, recruiting skilled individuals, and staying up-to-date with the latest technological advancements.
Impact of Automation on the Workforce
Automation can have a positive impact on the workforce in several ways. It can increase productivity, improve safety, reduce costs, enhance job satisfaction, and create new job opportunities. By automating routine tasks, workers can focus on more complex and strategic tasks, which can lead to increased efficiency and creativity. However, the impact of automation on the workforce is not evenly distributed and can lead to job displacement and changes in job requirements. It will be important to invest in education and retraining programs to help workers adapt to these changes and remain competitive in the job market.
Identifying and Recruiting Skilled Individuals With Expertise in Advanced Technologies
Structural issues suggest talent demand-supply for cutting-edge technologies will remain globally imbalanced in the near term. Although organizations are resorting to compensation corrections, bonuses, and flexible working location options, more creative measures are needed to attract top talent. Organizations will need to make intentional efforts to address talent-related challenges. They may transform in a variety of ways, including continuously investing in employees’ reskilling- upskilling, improving employer brand and workplace culture, looking at alternative talent sources (tier- 2/3 locations, acqui-hiring, partnering with academia, etc.), making employee referrals attractive, or creating programs to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. In perspective, there is no unique strategy that can help companies win the war for top tech talent, rather it requires a mix of different tactics to identify and recruit skilled individuals.
According to a recent survey by ANSR, 65% of the leaders believe that providing a clear career path and growth opportunities is the best way to attract and retain talent. 55% of them have an increased focus on Employer Brand as a strategy to attract the best tech talent.
Staying Up-to-Date on the Latest Advancements in Technology
To stay up to date on the latest advancements in technology, individuals can attend industry events and conferences, follow industry leaders and experts on social media, join professional associations, read industry publications and blogs, and take online courses and training programs. These strategies provide access to industry-specific resources, education opportunities, and networking with peers and experts. By staying informed and knowledgeable about the latest trends and technologies, individuals can remain competitive in their careers and contribute to their organization’s success.
Mr. Gautam Raj Anand, Founder, Hubhopper
Gautam Raj Anand, Founder, Hubhopper
Here is Mr. Gautam’s take on staying up-to-date on the latest technological advancements and identifying and recruiting skilled individuals with expertise in cutting-edge technologies.
Identifying and Recruiting Skilled Individuals With Expertise in Advanced Technologies
Identifying and recruiting skilled individuals with expertise in cutting-edge technologies can be a challenging task, but with the right approach, the chances of success are high. One should clearly define the specific cutting-edge technologies and skills s/he is looking for. This will help in narrowing down the search process and finding the right candidates. In podcasting, determining the specific technologies and skills may include audio editing, sound engineering, equipment handling, podcast hosting, content distribution, and analytics.
Before recruiting skilled individuals with expertise in cutting-edge technologies, one should always explore online communities, forums, and social media groups dedicated to podcasting and look for platforms like Reddit, Facebook groups, and specialized forums where podcasters and audio professionals gather. These communities can provide valuable insights, connections, and potential candidates. One should always remember to tailor their recruitment strategies to the unique requirements and challenges of podcasting technologies. There is an imperative need to stay informed about the latest trends, platforms, and tools in the industry to attract skilled individuals who can contribute to any podcasting endeavors.
Staying Up-to-Date on the Latest Advancements in Technology
“Speaking about technological advancements, we focus more on digital audio technology, which can be considered an extremely exciting space to be looking at. The primary reason is that it lowers the barrier of creation across a whole range of creators like writers and book publishers,” says Mr. Gautam.
Today, through voice synthesis, podcasters can record one chapter of a book while the rest of the book automatically gets processed utilizing the sample of that voice. Another major implementation of advanced technology is AI-based voice assistance/tech. It can be safely stated that this space is going to grow exceptionally fast in the next 3-4 years, given the rise in audio consumption and audio creation. However, while a lot of fundamentals of the technology are strong, there are also certain drawbacks in the technology at the present time, which results in the error rate, which is fairly high.
Mr.Trishneet Arora, CEO and Founder, TAC Security

Mr. JP Mishra, Country Manager India- Newland AIDC
JP Mishra, Country Manager India, Newland AIDC
Here are JP Mishra’s views regarding the Impact of Automation on the Workforce for National Technology Day.
As automation and artificial intelligence continue to advance, there is growing concern about how these technologies will impact the workforce. Automation has made a significant impact on the workforce, both positive and negative. On the one hand, automation has led to increased productivity, efficiency, improved quality, and safety in many industries, allowing companies to produce more goods and services with fewer workforce.
Automation has led to job losses in certain sectors, such as manufacturing and assembly line work. On the other hand, automation has also created new job opportunities in fields such as technology, data science, analytics, and robotics. Additionally, it has led to the development of new industries and businesses.
The overall impact of automation is complex and varies by industry, job type, and location. In general, jobs that involve repetitive tasks or can be easily replaced by machines are more at risk, while jobs that require human skills such as creativity, problem-solving, and social interaction are less likely to be automated.
Automation also creates as many jobs as it destroys over time. Workers who can work with machines are more productive than those without them; this reduces both the costs and prices of goods and services and raise consumers’ living standards.
In the short term, the impact of automation may be low for workers of all education levels, but in the long run, the estimates show that those with lower education levels could be much more vulnerable to being displaced by machines.
“Government and Corporates need to work together to help people to adjust to these new technologies through retraining and career changes. A culture of adaptability and lifelong learning will be crucial for spreading the benefits of AI & robotics, especially with an aging population. STEM skills will be important for the workforce to take high-technology jobs that will arise out of AI & automation, said Mishra.”

Adopting automation speeds up decision-making, leading to a more efficient and streamlined candidate experience. Moreover, automation technologies, like AI, offer extensive benefits such as long-term cost savings, increased hiring speed, and enhanced visibility and insights. It’s essential to acknowledge the significance of automation in the hiring process and start exploring ways to implement it for better operational efficiency. The future of hiring has arrived, and it’s time to start leveraging automation to reap its benefits.”
Conclusion

1. Sony Product Strategy
The product mix of SONY is extensive and diverse, and it includes both products and services.
The Sony Group Corporation is the parent company for Sony Pictures, Semiconductor Solutions, Entertainment, Mobiles, and Financial Holdings. Sony began with a rice cooker as its first consumer product.
Sony’s product mix consists of mobile phones, video games, hardware, and consumer electronics. Services offered by Sony fall under the wide categories of financial services, insurance, banking, credit financing, etc. Gaming is Sony’s most important entertainment segment in generating revenue.
Let’s take a closer look at the company’s wide range of product offerings:
Home Entertainment & Sound
Imaging products and Solutions
Computers and printers
Mobile communications
Game and Network services
Music
Semiconductors – CCD, LCD, and other kinds of semiconductors
Financial services and solutions
Some of the popular brands launched by them are Walkman, BAVIOA, and VAIO brands. They first released the “Walkman” in 1979, which was popular in the market and later helped create the BRAVIA and VAIO brands of televisions and computers, respectively.
It is one of the most well-known companies in the world and offers products and services for practically all entertainment-related industries.
Sony also launched “For The Music,” a new audio brand platform that puts creator vision first. It was launched in July 2023. ‘For The Music’ shapes an audio and delivers sound as envisioned by artists. It powers the live performances, which redefines the perception of “live.” For The Music creates tools that authentically capture the artist’s vision with unparalleled precision.
Customers purchase electronic items based on variables like software, quality, smart features, warranty, and post-sale support, and Sony has never failed to ace any of the aforementioned areas, making it a premium brand.
Sony has two different types of pricing strategies: premium pricing strategy and competitive pricing strategy.
Premium pricing strategy: It uses this as one of its pricing techniques in the marketing mix for its products. It charges a higher price for its goods than its rivals do. The brand’s premium positioning is maintained via the premium price strategy, which also represents the premium customer experience that Sony has developed.
The premium pricing approach accomplishes two goals. It demonstrates the brand’s investment in technology, and R&D, and indicates its commitment to maintaining a premium image. Additionally, Sony’s premium customer experience is reflected in this price approach.
Competitive pricing strategy: To prevent customers from switching brands, Sony frequently bases the prices for its products on those of its rivals as shown on Sony’s official website.

3. Sony Place Strategy
Having been established in the early 1900s, Sony has been in operation for more than 70 years and has grown to operate in approximately 47 nations.

In the regions where its products are offered, Sony also maintains a sizable global distribution network. Sony items are distributed through online channels in addition to authorized merchants in various countries. Customers purchase Sony goods directly from the merchants that Sony has authorized. They sell it to the Dealers, who in turn sell the items to the customers.
By the second distribution, products are also offered for purchase online through Sony’s official website and through merchants like Amazon. Customers that use either way to purchase goods pay the same price.

4. Sony Promotion Strategy
Sony invests a lot of money in advertising and marketing. Sony Corporation spent $2.67 billion on advertising for the 2022 fiscal year.
For marketing, it employs both conventional and contemporary means. However, their marketing approach is mostly focused on digital marketing. In Sony’s entire marketing and promotion strategy, social media plays a significant role.
Sony extensively uses print and television in the Asian markets to advertise its brand and goods. It is renowned for creating incredibly captivating TV advertising. Its advertisements are often product-focused in Asian markets, showcasing its exceptional qualities and features in order to attract customers by showing the highlights.
Social media plays a significant role in the company’s marketing plan and promotions. It heavily utilizes social media to communicate with and target its consumers. For each of its products, it has a distinct Facebook page. Amongst all pages, the PlayStation page has a relatively large number of fans.
The large number of fans and followers that Sony has reflects the amount of consumer devotion that the brand enjoys. In addition to Facebook, it has promoted its brand and engaged with customers through other platforms like Pinterest, Google Plus, and Twitter.
Apart from utilizing social media, Sony also collaborates with influencers, and employs experiential marketing to reach consumers, often integrating interactive features and storytelling to enrich the promotional journey.
Sony has promoted its goods through TV networks, Miss India 2008, and also by leveraging sports like football in England’s premier league to promote its games for the PS3, PS4, and PSP.
It has marketed a broad variety of items to its clients through periodicals like TOI. Additionally, they make significant investments in R&D projects, which aid in the development of novel products that are accessible to and compatible with emerging technologies.
The business has a detailed procedure for handling each factor, and they have improved communication in their customer service division. They have a vast worldwide network of regional distributors to get their products made available to each consumer and supplier, who are required to uphold quality standards.

As a woman entrepreneur and a mother in the maritime business, I’ve encountered many unique challenges on my journey. Indeed balancing the demands of motherhood with the responsibilities of growing a business has undoubtedly presented its share of obstacles. One significant challenge I faced was allocating time effectively between my family and the demands of running a business.
Overcoming this challenge required careful planning, prioritization, and the willingness to delegate tasks at home and in the workplace. By establishing clear boundaries and maximizing productivity during dedicated work hours, I ensured that my family and my business received the attention they deserved.
Another challenge I encountered was overcoming societal expectations and stereotypes within the male-dominated maritime industry. Being a woman in a leadership position often meant facing skepticism and resistance from some quarters. However, I saw these challenges as opportunities for growth and empowerment. By staying true to my vision, demonstrating competence, and earning the respect of my peers through hard work and determination, I overcame these obstacles. I carved out my niche in the industry.
In navigating these challenges, I’ve gained valuable insights that have strengthened my business and contributed to my personal growth. Firstly, I’ve learned the importance of resilience and adaptability in adversity. Every challenge has allowed me to learn, grow, and emerge stronger than before. Secondly, I’ve come to appreciate the power of collaboration and teamwork. By surrounding myself with a supportive network of colleagues, mentors, and family members, I’ve been able to overcome obstacles and achieve success.
Furthermore, being a mother has taught me invaluable lessons in leadership, empathy, and time management, all of which have translated into tangible benefits for my business. As a mother, I’ve learned to lead by example, demonstrating the importance of integrity, perseverance, and compassion in my personal and professional life. Being a mother has also instilled in me a sense of purpose and determination that has fueled my entrepreneurial endeavors.
While being a mother and growing a business simultaneously presents its challenges, it has also been a gratifying and enriching experience. By embracing these challenges as prospects for growth, learning, and empowerment, I’ve strengthened both my business and personal development, achieving success on my terms and inspiring others to do the same.

It requires that one is disciplined in time management alongside growing the business. I normally wake up at 5 a.m., and for sure, the first hour belongs to me. That is the time I do exercise and meditations. After that, I woke the baby up. We normally create quality time for the baby in the morning since that is the time we bond more with her. From leaving home by 9 a.m., kick-starting the workday to nights that offer a quiet window for focused work after putting my daughter to bed, there are sacrifices.
But then again, there is always that very strong support system from family and team members. It is going to be detailed scheduling, setting up clear boundaries, and effective delegation. So I balance nurturing my child and the growth of my brand by being focused on the priorities and leverage support.

As a mompreneur, balancing the demands of motherhood with scaling a business poses unique challenges of its own. Looking after a 9-year-old and a 1-year-old requires thorough planning and organization. However, one of the major hurdles that I encounter is ‘time management,’ as juggling childcare responsibilities with work commitments can be overwhelming. To overcome this, prioritizing tasks, delegating when possible, and setting boundaries are essential.
Another challenge is guilt—feeling split between family and business obligations. To overcome this involves recognizing that self-care is equally crucial for both personal and professional success. Embracing support, whether through family, friends, or support staff has helped to alleviate guilt and provide valuable guidance. Moreover, maintaining focus amidst distractions is vital.
Creating a dedicated workspace, and establishing a routine including at least 30-45 minutes of exercise has also helped separate work, family life, and personal life; Fostering productivity and personal development. Ultimately, embracing flexibility is key. Accepting that not every day will go as planned and being adaptable to change strengthens both business and personal growth.

Being a mother and an entrepreneur means having two babies simultaneously. Both demand your time, attention, and love, which they can’t flourish without. I realized that if you don’t keep your mind and emotions in check, both get impacted badly. For instance, there have been times when I had to miss my child’s school event due to a business meeting, or when I had to cancel a client call because my child was sick.
These situations can be emotionally challenging, but I’ve learned to navigate them. When it comes to the team, they will take it personally, and at home, your kids will be impacted. So, it is important to be aware of this responsibility, and be mindful of this. I follow a simple rule at both places: if I am having a bad day for various reasons, I avoid talking to my team and at home with my kids, too. For me, the best solution on my bad days is to sleep it out. I try to sleep early on a bad day, which works like a charm for me each time. Setting clear boundaries between work and personal life is crucial to maintaining a healthy balance.

As a mother growing my business, I bumped into unique challenges that tested my ability to balance professional ambitions with the responsibilities of motherhood. One significant snag was accommodating my daughter, Ananya, during business meetings. Initially, it was challenging to manage her needs while maintaining a professional demeanour. However, I formulated strategies such as arranging for a maid to accompany us during meetings and ensuring my daughter Ananya was contented and engaged. Furthermore, working from home for the first five years permitted me to be present for Ananya while still evolving my career.
Overcoming these challenges required flexibility, creativity, and effective time management. I learned to integrate motherhood into my professional life, turning obstacles into opportunities for growth. This experience strengthened my ability to multitask, problem-solve, and prioritize effectively, both in business and personal realms. Moreover, it instilled in me a sense of resilience and determination to succeed despite obstacles.

My biggest challenge was to be able to cope up with guilt. And by guilt, not just mom guilt but entrepreneur guilt. To be available for both your baby and your business and team. I realised that some days it was ok to give more importance to one of the roles, that one needed more time and attention. Just like your child, your business too is your baby and requires your time. The guilt was inner conversation. I realised I did not have to super woman, I just needed to be myself to be able to give both the roles my best.
How I overcame the challenge was to have a positive conversation with myself, made a schedule that worked for both. Also, I was vocal where I needed help and support and it wonderful how the family and my team at work supported. It was ok to ask for help. Delegate and outsource help wherever possible that can make your job easy. In the end make sure you are not mentally exhausted.

Raising a startup with raising kids posed came with its own challenges; even with a supportive family network, those initial adjustments were tough. However, it came about as personal victory, a self gratification as a women that I could be nurturing mother of two kids while working on my passion as an entrepreneur as well.
The key for me was open communication. I talked to my children about my work, explaining its importance to me and assuring them of my constant love. This experience, although challenging, really propelled both my personal and professional growth. It emphasized the importance of time management, clear communication, and developing a strong sense of resilience.

Finding time to balance both my work and caring for my baby was challenging. I made sure that I informed my clients and prepped my team to function in my absence before my labor. Post-pregnancy, I initially struggled mentally and physically and took time to heal, followed my doctor’s advice, and avoided societal pressure to return to work immediately. In the first few months, I managed to work through online supervision, then slowly returned to work after six months as my baby became less dependent.
I divided my workday into morning, afternoon, and night to manage my time better. I also started cutting down on a lot of time-consuming things, like mindless scrolling on social media and watching random shows on OTT platforms. Now, I am more selective about the kind of content I consume and use AI tools and technology to work more efficiently.

Growing up, I observed my mother juggling work commitments with limited time for us, focusing on our education rather than spending prolonged hours in the kitchen. Witnessing her ability to multitask inspired me to prioritize spending ample time with my child, particularly during the formative years, intending to resume full-time work when he reaches 7 or 8. However, balancing both roles proves immensely challenging, with occasions where my business demands attention conflicting with moments when my son needs me. Despite such dilemmas, my unwavering priority remains family over business, valuing the irreplaceable moments spent together.
Being a role model of independence and financial self-sufficiency for my son has bolstered my own confidence and instilled important values in him, such as respect for women and the significance of hard work. It’s profoundly rewarding when he shares ambitious aspirations for BindtBeauty, sometimes even surpassing my own, fueling my motivation further.

When my first daughter was born, I took two years off. But soon after, I began working. By the time my second child was born, I was working with the family business, a major conglomerate, which was in the process of dividing assets among the family. It was a difficult period emotionally. One was burning from both ends, giving its all to both the children and the business. I was able to do it because I received incredible support from my husband and mother while caring for her. We all pitched in, even if it was a stretch.
As a young couple, we were just beginning out, becoming new parents while still establishing both of our careers. But, when there is love and joy in the family one tides over all these challenges. It has helped me understand the value of relationships. I am more patient as an individual and more empathetic at the workplace. I have gotten used to juggling priorities and showing up when needed. I appreciate more when people help others building greater camaraderie. As a result, I have become a happier person, a better parent as well as a more effective leader.

As a mother growing my business, I’ve faced unique challenges that required a delicate balance between my roles as a parent and a business leader. One of the biggest hurdles was managing my time effectively to ensure I could be there for my children while also giving my full attention to the growth of my business. To overcome this challenge, I implemented strict time management techniques, prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities where possible. Additionally, I learned to be flexible and adaptable, understanding that sometimes unexpected events may require me to shift my focus between my family and my business.
In terms of personal and business growth, these challenges have provided invaluable insights that have strengthened both aspects of my life. I’ve learned the importance of resilience and perseverance, understanding that setbacks are inevitable but can be overcome with determination and a positive mindset. Moreover, navigating the complexities of balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship has honed my decision-making skills and enhanced my ability to prioritize effectively, which has proven invaluable in driving the growth of my business.

Navigating the journey of motherhood while growing a business certainly comes with its own set of challenges. I have had a fair share of them. Balancing the demands of motherhood with those of running a business can often feel like a juggling act. It requires a combination of efficient time management techniques, such as prioritizing tasks, setting realistic deadlines, and delegating responsibilities where possible, prioritization based on what matters most in the moment, flexibility by Being open to adjusting schedules, adapting plans on the fly, and accepting that not everything will always go according to plan has helped me maintain a sense of equilibrium amidst the inevitable ups and downs of both motherhood and business ownership, and building a strong support network has been instrumental in overcoming the challenges of juggling motherhood and entrepreneurship.
By embracing resilience, continuous learning, and work-life integration, I’ve been able to overcome obstacles, foster personal and professional growth, and find fulfilment in both aspects of my life journey.
I see motherhood as a deep learning journey that helped me overcome the challenges as an entrepreneur. As a mother and a businesswoman, I feel more responsible for finding ways of balancing both aspects to grow uniquely while putting forth crucial skills. Some of the challenges that I faced or felt while performing these roles were, one, guilty of not being able to devote 100% to either my child or my business. Two, managing time and responsibilities between work and family and three adaptability and flexibility. Taking each of these challenges head-on individually has helped over time to find the perfect balance.
Inculcating habits such as better time management and using work organizers has helped. I can’t say that I have managed to ace effective time management but allocating specific hours to work and family has helped be more productive at work or have a more quality interaction with my child. Similarly, by being flexible and adaptive to the needs and demands of the business or my child with simple delegation or optimal use of resources available can bring forth operational efficiency and staying consistent in performing my duties efficiently.
I have confronted some unique challenges while growing my business as a mother. Running a booming enterprise while at the same time taking care of my both sons Anirudh and Aditya. The constant battle with mother guilt, stemming from not being able to dedicate as much time to my children as I would have liked due to professional commitments, weighed heavily on me. However, with the unwavering support of my husband Neeraj, I’ve navigated these challenges with resilience. His support is everything, it gives me the strength to juggle between family and profession.
Moreover, integrating family-centric values into Cafe Roadies & Gym posed its challenges. Ensuring a family-friendly environment while maintaining a vibrant nightlife experience required strategic planning and innovative solutions. The ability to balance on this tightrope has advanced my adaptability skills as well as time management which has had an impact on both personal growth and business success stories.
Every hurdle I encounter turns out into an opportunity for more knowledge about what it means to be resilient in life but also strategic when planning for things that matter most such as love or even enterprises like entrepreneurship. Through hard work plus creativity; Cafe Roadies has grown into a lively joint where people can gather around not only for coffee but also for entertainment and nightlife while still fostering healthy relationships within our own family thus achieving holistic success in all areas according to my dreams.

Choosing to become a parent is a deliberate decision, not an obligation. Embracing this role means prioritizing your child’s upbringing and adapting your life to meet their needs. Amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, I navigated the complexities of raising a toddler while expanding my business in the food industry without external support. The pandemic struck when my child, Ivaahn, was just eight months old, and restrictions eased after his second birthday. This period demanded extraordinary resilience as I balanced professional responsibilities with motherhood, often missing precious milestones due to work commitments.
However, I learned to forgive myself for the missed moments and focused on the necessity of my actions for our future. I drew strength from the understanding that many parents, due to their professions, endure prolonged separations from their children. This perspective and the invaluable time spent with my son during lockdowns underscored the importance of quality over quantity in time spent together. I strategically planned our days to maximize meaningful interactions, fostering growth as a person, a mother, and an entrepreneur.
Ultimately, every hurdle overcome and every achievement gained was fueled by the motivation to secure a better future for my child. This journey taught me the significance of cherishing focused, quality moments with my son, shaping a profound and enriching experience from an otherwise challenging time.

Being a mother is a blessing but definitely it comes with its own challenges. Your work and as well your kids both need your full devotion and commitment and there is no other option than to balance it intelligently. You need to create a brilliant support system to help you manage your day to day tasks. Another foolproof solution is time management. Routines can be handled with your management skills and for odd situations you must have plans B and C ready.
This is the mantra I have followed. Everyone has their own situation and challenges. You need to think constructively with maintain a positive attitude as women are capable to do this very diligently. But it shouldn’t have a negative impact on your personal health and well-being. Our machines need to be well oiled with positive thoughts and Me Time too. You also need to surround yourself with people whom you love. Sometimes, all we require is that emotional support.

Balancing the roles of motherhood and entrepreneurship is undoubtedly a challenge, but it’s one I’ve learned to navigate with intention and flexibility. Firstly, I prioritize effective time management. This involves setting clear boundaries between work and family time, scheduling tasks and appointments, and maximizing productivity during dedicated work hours. Communication is also crucial. I ensure open and honest communication with my family and team, setting realistic expectations and asking for support when needed. Delegating tasks at home and in the business allows me to focus on high-priority activities while fostering teamwork and shared responsibility. Self-care is non-negotiable.
I recognize the importance of prioritizing my physical and mental well-being, whether it’s through exercise, meditation, or simply taking moments to recharge. By nurturing myself, I can be the best version of myself for my family and business. Flexibility is essential. I’ve learned to embrace the unpredictability of both motherhood and entrepreneurship, adapting to changing circumstances and being willing to pivot when necessary. This flexibility allows me to roll with the punches and creatively solve challenges.
Ultimately, finding balance is an ongoing journey, not a destination. By staying true to my values, staying organized, communicating effectively, prioritizing self-care, and remaining adaptable, I can successfully navigate the complexities of being both a mother and an entrepreneur. I thank my mother, Manju Sharma, for guiding me through this journey.

In both business and family life, I adhere to a fundamental principle: prioritizing tasks based on their urgency and importance. This approach, coupled with setting realistic goals and deadlines, ensures efficient time allocation. Additionally, delegating tasks whenever feasible, be it hiring assistance for household chores or outsourcing certain business responsibilities, is essential. Establishing a dependable support network is imperative for navigating the complexities of entrepreneurship and parenthood.
Equally critical is prioritizing self-care. Maintaining personal well-being is indispensable for achieving success in both spheres. Whether it includes indulging in moments of relaxation, exercise, embarking on travel adventures, or pursuing hobbies, integrating self-nurturing activities into daily routines fosters enduring balance and contentment.

Balance is a myth, I believe because it is practically impossible. The idea of ‘balance’ suggests that you can give equal time and energy to both your business and your family, but in reality, that’s not always feasible. One day, there is a major crisis at work. On that day, you will have to put all your focus and energy into work; on another day, it could be your kid or husband who needs your attention, and then you will need to focus on home.
However, building systems and putting timelines in place is essential. A sound support system is vital to fall back on, like house help or good machines to make your work easy or daycare to ensure kids are cared for. At work, make sure you are building a good team, who can manage work without your constant intervention. Remember, you don’t have to do it alone; a robust support system is key to managing the demands of both roles.

Moreover, involving Ananya in my entrepreneurial journey from a young age inculcated in her a sense of resilience and determination. We grew together, finding joy in each other’s achievements and supporting one another through challenges. I encouraged Ananya into the vibrant world of art from the age of 3, guiding her through exhibitions and art competitions, nurturing her creative spirit every step of the way. Ultimately, this experience strengthened not only my business but also my bond with my daughter, fostering a sense of mutual understanding and shared purpose.

I am still learning to balance motherhood and business. Some days there are new challenges that you are unaware about, but you try to stay calm and solution can be found. Setting your goal right and having a plan, makes it easy to navigate your roadmap. Before I start my day, I try to keep a to-do work wise that makes me efficient and at the same time helps me plan my day with the baby too. Building a strong team will help you grow your business, focus on the team. Be resilient, know that every challenge is temporary. Be open to change, don’t restrict yourself from learning.

Balancing motherhood and a growing business is a constant dance. Here are a few strategies that have been most helpful for me. First and foremost, prioritizing time and fostering open communication with my children has been crucial. They appreciate knowing my schedule and why I might be unavailable at times. This creates a sense of trust and understanding within the family.
Secondly, carving out quality time together, even if it’s just simple activities like gardening or weekend outings, allows us to connect and build lasting memories. Finally, building a strong support system, both at home and work, has been invaluable. I started working in my late 30s, so having a reliable team at the office allows me to focus on my family with peace of mind, and vice versa.
It’s about finding that balance and knowing that you have a strong network to support you.

After becoming a mother, I have learned to value my time more and manage it efficiently. At work, prioritizing and delegating tasks have been essential. Prioritizing the right clients and saying no to those whose vision does not align with our agency has created time and bandwidth for bigger opportunities and brands. Delegating tasks within the team was scary in the beginning but led to more growth and better quality work in the long term, It helped me to focus on bigger things like business growth and the quality enhancement of our work as an agency.
Balancing my roles as a mother and entrepreneur can be tiring, but switching between them helps prevent overthinking and keeps me productive. I feel communicating about my availability as an entrepreneur is also crucial to keep things running smoothly. Taking time for self-reflection and planning each day helps me manage both my personal and professional lives. Instead of jumping to conclusions when things don’t go as planned, adopt a solution-oriented approach to make things work.
I maintain a simple, healthy diet and practice regular physical activity like walking and yoga to calm my mind and regulate my energy levels. It’s a holistic approach—working on all aspects of myself helps me make the system work, says Digisha.

For me, motherhood takes precedence. I structure my day around both my business commitments and my son’s schedule. I prioritize spending time with him in the mornings before school and after he returns home (occasionally even picking him up from school). This routine provides him with a sense of stability. During my meetings, he understands that I need that space to focus and respects it, which minimizes disruptions. Given the nature of startups where work is incessant, I make a concerted effort not to let work calls interfere during quality time with him.
Recognizing that children absorb energy, I’m mindful of maintaining a positive atmosphere, especially on challenging workdays. I believe this balancing act is a common struggle for working women across all levels, from CEOs to interns, and perseverance is key in navigating it successfully.

Being a perfectionist, I used to live with constant guilt for not being able to give full time to either. I began to leverage my strengths and skills to not just handle my business but also my house and personal commitments. For example, I have great planning skills that help me execute business strategies and get work done efficiently. I can pack in more as a result.
Even house tasks and time with family is handled in the same way. I realised that at work one finds a way to hold people accountable, I deployed the same approaches at home. I learnt from my business that to grow and do more, one has to invest and delegate, so I began to invest in resources and support system at home to help me find time and improve the quality of life. Slowly I also learnt to set boundaries, live in the present moment and enjoy whatever I was doing.
Balancing the demands of motherhood with the growth of my business has required careful planning and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. One of the most effective strategies I’ve found is setting clear boundaries and establishing routines that allow me to dedicate quality time to both my family and my work. Additionally, leveraging technology and outsourcing certain tasks has helped alleviate some of the pressure, allowing me to focus on the aspects of my business that require my personal attention.
Ultimately, the key to successfully balancing motherhood and business growth lies in maintaining open communication with my family and my team, as well as practicing self-care to ensure I have the energy and resilience to tackle the challenges that come my way. By embracing these strategies and staying true to my values, I’ve been able to nurture both my family and my business, achieving growth and success in both aspects of my life.

Balancing motherhood with business growth is undoubtedly a challenge, but it’s certainly manageable with some thoughtful strategies. Here are a few that have proven effective for my entrepreneurial journey:
Effective Time Management: Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. Utilize tools like calendars, to-do lists, and time-tracking apps to stay organized and focused.
Delegate and Outsource: Recognize that you can’t do everything yourself. Delegate tasks at home and in the business where possible.
Flexible Work Arrangements: Embrace flexibility in your work arrangements. This might involve working remotely, setting flexible hours, or creating a home office environment that allows you to be present for your child while still being productive.
Establish Boundaries: Set clear boundaries between work and family time.
Self-Care and Support Networks: Remember to prioritize self-care to maintain your physical and mental well-being.
Set Realistic Expectations: Accept that you won’t always be able to achieve perfection in both motherhood and business simultaneously. Be kind to yourself and recognize that it’s okay to ask for help or adjust your goals when necessary.
Ultimately, finding the right balance between motherhood and business growth requires experimentation and adaptation to suit your unique circumstances. Keep exploring different strategies until you find what works best for you and your family.
The hats of a mother and an entrepreneur that I wear have had their unique transformational impact on my life. In both scenarios a few strategies have helped me find equilibrium to bring forth personal fulfilment and professional success.
Prioritizing and Flexibility: Completing responsibilities based on their importance and impact can help avoid conflicts between personal and work responsibilities. Adapting flexible work arrangements whenever possible allows me to handle unforeseen family needs or emergencies without ignoring my professional duties.
Leveraging Technology: In today’s digital era, technology is a powerful tool. Using productivity tools, communication platforms, and remote work options allows me to stay connected and coordinated. Using platforms such as Zoom, Teams, Skype, WhatsApp etc. helps me stay connected with my child or my work, when it’s physically impossible.
Quality Over Quantity: Striving for our own perceptions of perfection can sometimes hinder progress. Instead, I aspire for efficiency in both my work and personal life. At work, I focus on streamlining processes, automating repetitive tasks, and concentrating on achieving outcomes rather than getting caught in small details. Similarly, with my child, I prioritize quality interactions.
Having a Support Network: Surrounding myself with a strong support network has been instrumental in steering the complexities of motherhood and entrepreneurship. These include friends, mentors, fellow parents, and entrepreneurs in my life who understand the challenges I face. Whether I need support arranging playdates for my child or seeking insights for my business, I know my network is there to lend a helping hand.
Being a mother of two boys and Co-Founder of Cafe Roadies & Gym, has taught me to manage my time wisely and give priority to family while growing the business. I have helped Cafe Roadies become an all-inclusive F&B and nightlife brand with my marketing background.
We have been able to grow a loyal customer base by employing effective digital marketing strategies combined with community involvement. Throughout these achievements, I consistently fostered work-life balance even in situations where time was limited or the business was at its early stages; this was achieved through active participation in events as a way of leading by example. Implementing flexible work arrangements and leveraging technology for remote communication has allowed me to stay connected with my team while fulfilling my maternal duties.
In future, I want Cafe Roadies to be more visible than it already is and offer new menu options that incorporate current trends in cocktails. What has kept me on track all along was commitment; planning strategically for every step taken towards nurturing both my children’s growths alongside their personal businesses’ success stories thus making others realize how possible it is to live life to the maximum while balancing between parenthood and entrepreneurship.
Despite the constraints, my passion for entrepreneurship and dedication to my family has fueled my drive to succeed. By prioritizing tasks, leveraging support systems, and maintaining a clear vision, I’ve managed to harmonize the demands of motherhood with the dynamic growth of Cafe Roadies.

Balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship is a journey unique to every woman, yet it embodies a universal challenge. For me, the realization dawned soon after becoming a mother that adaptability is key. By integrating my son into my professional world, I ensured he understood my absence as not abandonment but a part of our lives. This not only alleviated my concerns but also allowed me to work with focus and precision. The decision to harmonize both roles was instinctual, sparked by a moment of determination mere hours after giving birth, symbolizing my commitment to this dual path.
Support, particularly from a partner, is pivotal in this equation. The pandemic underscored the shared responsibilities of home and work, fostering a partnership in my husband and I that was both understanding and equitable. This mutual respect and effort have been instrumental in creating a balanced family life, where decisions and responsibilities are shared, preventing any sense of resentment.
As our family and my business evolved, meticulous planning became our ally. By synchronizing our calendars, we ensure that personal and professional commitments are met without compromise. This strategy has fortified our family unit, allowing us to cherish our passions without forsaking our love for each other. In this journey of balance, adaptability, support, and planning are the cornerstones of a fulfilling life as a mother and entrepreneur.
